The Cakery will gone soon, moved on to Templeton where Yarrow and her mother will be focusing on wedding cakes and leaving the deli and event cakes in the dust. This brings me back to a place that resembles square one in a couple of aspects. One, I will be once again scrounging this town for a job where I can salvage some semblance of dignity, a difficult feat in this economic climate. Two, I will no longer have any sort of outlet for my cake scratch fever. I think this means that I will be baking on my own more, which of course, will result in more blogging and photos. Which is a good thing. The problem is that I don't want to make cake after cake when I don't really eat it anymore and when buying ingredients overrides, budgetarily, buying things like gas, groceries, or underwear.
So I guess if you want a cake, ask me. I'm fairly good at this point and I'll cut you a deal. Essentially you'd be paying for the ingredients that your cake requires, no labor. I'm trying to build a portfolio and get practice. Sky's the limit.

I'll be looking you up for my birthday:-) I want a dancing queen on my cake.
Hiya Dev - somebody must be filling the cake void in SLO - maybe you could check out jobs with them.
What a bummer that she couldn't figure it out or sell it...I know you'll find work...hugs, Mom
